Training Description
Orientation is similar to NSCC Recruit Training but is tailored to the age and maturity level of the average NLCC Cadet. Our mission is to foster personal growth in the areas of character, courage, and professional competence for newly enrolled NLCC Cadets.
Orientation is intended to be an introduction to military routine and discipline. The Orientation curriculum includes:

The uniform of the day will be NLCC Summer Dress. Military and NSCC personnel attending the ceremony should be in the equivalent uniform:
· Summer Whites for NSCC Officer/Instructors
· Alternate Dress Uniform for NSCC personnel in a non-uniformed status
· Class “B” ASU for Army
· Dress Blue “D” for Marine Corps
· Service Dress Whites for Navy
· Class “B” Blue Service Uniform for Air Force
· Tropical Blues for Coast Guard
· Business attire for civilians
Cadets will be released from training only after they are cleared by the training contingent Staff. A designated parent or Escort Officer must sign for the Cadet(s) and their record(s). Procedures for release will be announced at the conclusion of the ceremony.

Uniform of the Day for reporting in will be the NWU with athletic shoes
What to bring: Use the Sea Bag List to pack your items - see below.
Tips: Your sea bag will be inspected. Make sure you bring just what is on the list. Leave everything else home. If you require ongoing prescription medication, please hand deliver it (along with the required medical forms) to the Medical Officer during in-processing.
